Dedicated to the memory of Eleanor Jayne Warren

This site is a tribute to Eleanor Warren, who was born on July 27, 1985. She is much loved and will always be remembered.

Auntie Ellie's Bench has been placed here as this was where Eleanor and her brother Greg played as children.

The definition of Deus Ex Machina is “God from the Machine” and is a Latin calque from Greek with the phrase used to describe any situation where something unexpected or implausible is brought in to the story line to resolve situations or disentangle a plot.
Eleanor’s love and passion for literature was depicted by the choice of her first tattoo on the front of her left arm, Deus Ex Machina to celebrate her BA Hon's Degree in Creative Writing and Theatre Studies.
One example of Deus Ex Machina is at the close of the original film ’The Wizard of Oz’ when Dorothy wakes up…...

Thoughts

So, finally my lovely, on Thursday we will be able to keep our promise and take you to that special place in your heart, Iceland ~ the land of fire and ice. The place you told me that would be your favourite place to visit, to wonder at the Northern Lights and experience all that Iceland has to offer. Your family will be there for your second anniversary to remember the wonderful times we've shared and make special memories carrying your spirit in our hearts. You will be with us on every step of our journey. You were always a free spirit and together we will scatter some of your ashes there in memory and honour of you; our wonderful, fun, brave, crazy and unique lady. 💖

Well Eleanor Happy 39th birthday my lovely. We will always celebrate your special day and today we held your birthday commemoration with family and friends at Paignton Zoo where a bench has been placed in your memory and it looks very grand. We can just imagine you sat there enjoying the view and tranquility. We all gave a big ‘cheers’ to you and read poems, cried and laughed and cheered you some more, all followed by a picnic, photos on your bench and a wander around the zoo. Back home for a BBQ, checking out your party themed photo board and an incredible rainbow cake made by Charlie and your boys, Pascoe and Gene. What a day ! Hope you had a wonderful birthday in your other world. All our love Ma and Dad 💖

Today is Valentines Day and I have been reminiscing about when Eleanor decided to prepare breakfast in bed for Martin and I. She was around 10 years old and lovingly surprised us with partially buttered cold toast along with a fried egg which had barely seen the pan, accompanied by a loving hug while wishing us a happy Valentines Day! We were so touched by what she had done for us . She was very proud of her achievements in the kitchen. Suffice to say that I was left to clear up the mess in the kitchen while secretly sliding the contents of our breakfast in the bin. One of the loveliest and most thoughtful gestures 💗 We always sent Eleanor a mystery Valentines card as a symbol of our love for her. So today she will have Valentines flowers. The daffodils planted in memory of her will soon be blooming all around the country too. Happy Valentines my lovely 🥰 x
